Although Orwell’s 1984 is commonly described as a dystopian “fiction” and believed to depict a “Fascist” state, its predictions are disturbingly close to the postwar system established by the arch nemeses of Fascism: The Allies, also known as the ‘United Nations.’ Ideologically speaking, this system is not Fascist in the slightest. Its founding myth is centered around the explicit rejection of Fascism and all of its ideological tenants are radically Left-Wing. It is the global ANTIFA.

It seems far more likely that 1984 is a scathing critique of the architects of this postwar civilization. Orwell, a staunch Leftist, believed that the Allied leaders were megalomaniacal traitors to the Socialist cause, whose only aim was to create a totalitarian world government that was Socialist and Democratic in name but oligarchical in nature.

1984’s three warring empires — Eurasia (practicing ‘Neo-Bolshevism’), Eastasia (‘Death Worship’), and Oceania (‘English Socialism’) — were ideologically modeled on the Soviets of Russia, Communists of China, and Fabian Socialists of the United Kingdom, respectively. Orwell labels these ideologies “Oligarchical Collectivism,” derived from Leon Trotsky’s “Bureaucratic Collectivism,” a critique of Stalinist Marxist-Leninism, which describes a Communist state which distributed profit among The Party bureaucracy, rather than the proletariat. Ironically, this describes every Socialist state in history.

In 1984, ‘Doublethink’ is part of the broader concept of ‘Newspeak,’ a fictional language invented by the ruling English Socialist Party (INGSOC) of Oceania. Newspeak is designed to stop the masses from breaking INGSOC conditioning by restricting their ability to express and think “subversive” ideas. ‘Doublethink’ is a form of indoctrination that forces or coerces the subject into simultaneously accepting two overtly contradictory beliefs as unquestionably true facts, typified by the iconic INGSOC party slogan: “WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS SLAVERY, IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.”

Newspeak was inspired by Marxist indoctrination and propaganda techniques and Orwell considered Doublethink to be a staple feature of Bolshevik-style totalitarianism. “FREEDOM IS SLAVERY” is reminiscent of the Marxist claim that totalitarian dictatorship is the only path to a stateless Communist Utopia. Shockingly, their claim that the state will arbitrarily “wither away” has not occurred in a single Socialist society to date. They remain totalitarian dictatorships or collapse into ruin. Usually both.

Rewriting language and history is a typical Marxist trick, utilized by Leftists to this day. Consider the ‘Critical Theory’ Newspeak that saturates contemporary lexicon: “Institutional Racism,” “Microaggressions,” “White Fragility,” and so on. Leftist discourse is an intricate web of self-referential gobbledygook, designed to bamboozle the masses, impress the intellectually insecure, and obfuscate their true intentions.

In 1984, Doublethink is forced onto the masses via carrot-and-stick techniques: Those who regurgitate INGSOC rhetoric gain social status and climb The Party ranks, while those who question it are socially ostracized and subjected to disciplinary brainwashing procedures. To expose the glaring contradictions in Doublethink is akin to blasphemy. Does that sound familiar? Modern Globalists use identical techniques to enforce their own insanely contradictory propaganda: Threats of extreme social ostracization and termination of employment (“cancel culture”), disciplinary brainwashing (“diversity seminars”), denial of vital services, such as access to banking (“deplatforming”), and so on.

The West is currently at a Soviet level of indoctrination, with Leftists reporting their family and friends to the FBI for wrongthink. One teenager even reported her own mother and shamed her on social media, sharing footage of her being violently attacked and covered in her own blood. In 1932, a 13-year-old Soviet boy named Pavlik Morozov turned his own father over to the Cheka, who sentenced him to death in a gulag. After hearing of the father’s death, the boy’s uncle, grandfather, grandmother, and cousin murdered him. The family was promptly executed and Pavlik was made a martyr of the USSR, with numerous songs, plays, poems, biographies, and even a full-length opera dedicated to his story. Maxim Gorky, a Soviet propagandist and close friend of Stalin, claimed that the “heroic” Pavlik “understood that a person who is a relative by blood may well be an enemy of the spirit, and that such a person is not to be spared.”

In the West today, an individual may be “canceled” for life if they express even the slightest hints of doubt towards any of the following Doublethink beliefs:

  • That God is fake and evolution is real, but race is fake and all humans are biologically/genetically identical.
  • That diversity and immigration are our greatest strengths and we desperately need more of both to “culturally enrich” our societies, but White people are not being intentionally replaced via mass migration, even though it would be great if they were because all Whites are racist, imperialist, bigots.
  • That the explicitly anti-White riots conducted by BLM and ANTIFA are actually peaceful protests and necessary for social progress, but boomers walking around the capitol while taking selfies is the “worst terror attack since 9/11″ and the fault of “White supremacy.”
  • That empowering women and promoting female equality and miscegenation is an act of genocide when the Chinese do it to Muslim Uyghurs, but beautiful social progress when Globalists do it to Europeans.
  • That all of European history was built upon evil patriarchal White supremacist colonialist imperialism, but the Vikings were transgender, Roman Italy was a diverse multi-racial paradise, and the ancient Greeks were all homosexual.
  • That White countries cause the most “climate change” due to industrialization and overpopulation, but we need to import an infinite number of “climate refugees” into White countries to save them from the climate change that White countries cause by being overpopulated and industrialized.
  • Etc., etc., etc.

Below: A few examples of doublethink from Western mainstream media

The entire West is plagued by Doublethink. It is the defining characteristic of postwar propaganda. The contradictions in the public-facing ideology of Globalism are so glaringly obvious that it is impossible to believe they are not intentionally flaunting their deception. This begs two questions:

  1. Why do they drown the masses in this torrent of contradictory nonsense?
  2. Why do they make no attempt to conceal their blatant lies?

Firstly, this bombardment of disinformation serves to obscure the end goals of Globalism. Once again, consider the “FREEDOM IS SLAVERY” agenda of 20th Century Marxism: Its publicly stated end goal is the creation of technologically advanced, superabundant, worldwide utopia, inhabited by freely-associated individuals, with every man cooperating in perfect harmony, taking and contributing based on his own individual needs, and where every human can be free from the reactionary shackles of traditional culture, race, and gender. Any sane and semi-intelligent individual can easily recognize that this is a delusional fantasy, on par with the ramblings of a lunatic asylum schizophrenic.

So, what is the purpose of Marxism? Simple: It is an ideological tool designed to overthrow an existing ruling elite, and create a highly-centralized, totalitarian dictatorship to secure the position of the new ruling class. Marxist ideology was created and championed by bourgeois intellectuals and international finance capitalists, people who were envious of the power held by the entrenched European aristocracy and wished to take it for themselves. The utopian dream is nothing more than a scam, designed to trick the lower-class masses into exterminating their current elite and replacing them with a fresh Marxist oligarchy. In every single Communist state, the newly ordained oligarchy repays the masses who put them in power with genocide, starvation, and the complete obliteration of their religion and culture. Very generous.

The same applies to the publicly advertised agendas of modern Globalists. For example, they talk of racial and gender “equality” and “emancipation,” but their end goal is the total destruction of all nationalities and the abolition of the family, both of which are the biggest roadblocks to their creation of a one-world empire.

The entire Globalist agenda hinges on preventing normal people from understanding what they are doing to our societies and why, and where they plan to take us in the future. Without controlling the flow of information and pumping the masses’ brains with as much disinformation as possible, Globalists would be utterly incapable of world domination. This is why they first took control of the media and academia. A society that has lost control of its own propaganda engines and the minds of its children is as good as conquered. Conversely, if Globalists lost control of their soft power (the media, academia, etc.), their hard power (the military, police, judiciary system, etc.) would likely melt away overnight. Without their information warfare, a civilization-scale revolution against Globalism would arise in no time at all.

However, that being said, all of the above pertains to information warfare, in general, and not specifically to Doublethink. The fundamental purpose of Doublethink, in particular, is to engineer a state of collective Controlled Insanity:

“In our society, those who have the best knowledge of what is happening are also those who are furthest from seeing the world as it is. In general, the greater the understanding, the greater the delusion; the more intelligent, the less sane. […] The official ideology abounds with contradictions even when there is no practical reason for them. Thus, the Party rejects and vilifies every principle for which the Socialist movement originally stood, and it chooses to do this in the name of Socialism. It preaches a contempt for the working class unexampled for centuries past, and it dresses its members in a uniform which was at one time peculiar to manual workers and was adopted for that reason. It systematically undermines the solidarity of the family, and it calls its leader by a name which is a direct appeal to the sentiment of family loyalty. Even the names of the four Ministries by which we are governed exhibit a sort of impudence in their deliberate reversal of the facts. The Ministry of Peace concerns itself with war, the Ministry of Truth with lies, the Ministry of Love with torture, and the Ministry of Plenty with starvation. These contradictions are not accidental, nor do they result from ordinary hypocrisy; they are deliberate exercises in DOUBLETHINK. For it is only by reconciling contradictions that power can be retained indefinitely. In no other way could the ancient cycle be broken. If human equality is to be forever averted — if the High, as we have called them, are to keep their places permanently — then the prevailing mental condition must be controlled insanity.”

George Orwell – 1984

Consider the psychological damage that Doublethink inflicts upon an individual: Victims of this indoctrination live in a permanent state of psychosis and are completely incapable of distinguishing truth from fiction and fantasy from reality. Doublethink is part of a massive MK-Ultra-style social engineering operation. It is psychological abuse on a civilizational scale, designed to create a new breed of man: Traumatized, demoralized, docile, permanently terrified and confused, and, most importantly, utterly subservient to the Globalist system and the elites who control it. Controlled Insanity is the ideal condition to facilitate totalitarian slavery. Globalists can feed these hapless, broken individuals all of the nonsense in the world and they’ll gladly swallow it, no matter how insane or contradictory it is. They won’t lift a finger in resistance to Globalist tyranny. Many will welcome their own enslavement, and many will even sacrifice their own lives to defend it.
